I want to tell you about something that I believe in and ask you for just a moment of your
time to listen.
Each year in our community over 17,000 dogs and cats enter our local municipal shelter
systems. Each year over 11,000 of those same animals are euthanized due to lack of space,
time and resources. The taxpayers in our community spend over $2.5 million each year to
pick up, house and euthanize these animals, most of whom are healthy, adoptable pets.
There is another way, a more responsible, more humane solution to this issue. Pawmetto
Lifeline, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit animal rescue organization, located right here in Columbia
is using national best practice models to end the issue of pet overpopulation and ultimately
the use of euthanasia as our only practical means of animal control. They have the solution
and I am here to help.
On March 28, 2020, I will be participating in the Bark to the Park Walk for the Animals at
Finlay Park in Columbia, SC. I am writing today to ask for your support in sponsoring me in
this endeavor. I have a personal goal of raising $100.00 for this cause which will help
Pawmetto Lifeline to rescue animals from the shelter that would otherwise be lost to
euthanasia and help them to prepare those pets for adoption into loving homes.
I am committed to making an impact in our immediate community and you can help! Please
consider making a donation of $25.00 today. You can do so by going on line to
www.barktothepark.com, look up my name (or team) and click on the donate button. Your
contributions are 100% tax deductible.
Thank you so much for considering lending your support to my campaign for this cause. I
know that you care about our community and we can all work together to make it a better
place for everyone!
