On March 28, 2020, I will be participating in the Bark to the Park Walk for the Animals at Saluda Shoals Park in Columbia, SC. Bark to the Park is an annual fundraiser for Pawmetto Lifeline, a local rescue which utilizes national best practice models in an effort to end the issue of pet overpopulation and ultimately the use of euthanasia as the only practical means of animal control.
Each year in the Midlands, over 9,000 dogs and cats enter the local municipal shelter systems, with extraordinary numbers being euthanized due to lack of space, time, and resources. Taxpayers in our community spend of $2.5 million each year to pick up, house, and euthanize these animals--many of whom are healthy and adoptable pets.
Please consider joining my team or donating to this cause, and help me help Pawmetto Lifeline to rescue animals from the shelters who would otherwise be lost to euthanasia and help them to prepare those pets for adoption into loving homes.
Thank you!!
